The seminar teaches how to create a professional quality web site that is eye-catching and informative, a site that people want to visit frequently.

Using the latest tools, participants work on their own site and take home a week's worth of development. The seminar is limited to 12 students so individual attention can be given to each person. Participants learn about design, content, graphics, and marketing. The course workbook is a valuable roadmap and resource full of tips learned in the seminar.

Seminar participants will learn how to:

• Develop goals for the web site
• Choose an internet service provider and hosting provider
• Decide on the site name and register it if desired
• Decide what pages are needed in the site and what they should contain
• Learn what hardware, software, and personnel are typically used to complete a site
• Develop the site flow chart, style guidelines, and template.
• Learn the limitations to consider when designing a good site
• Hands-on development of web pages
• Use Microsoft FrontPage 98 and Adobe Photoshop 5.0
• Design graphics, create imagemaps and hyperlinks to other pages
• Understand and modify basic HTML programming
• Develop a form to collect information about the site’s visitors
• Develop a marketing description of the site
• Move the web pages to the internet host if desired
• Register the site with search engines if desired
